In any given season we don’t make much of the light syrup due to the southern latitude of our farm coupled with our mix of soft and sugar maples.

Traditionally, this grade is always the cats meow, the best of the season, made in the beginning of the harvest during the coldest, purest, early sap runs.  The 2020 crop was exactly this for us, our early season syrup lives up to any Extra Fancy Golden Amber billing even the pickiest light amber enthusiast would expect.  With delicate notes, a buttery mouthfeel and eye pleasing golden amber color, these bottles are truly liquid gold.

NOTE: This syrup was awarded best overall maple syrup in any grade by the Dutchess County Agricultural Society at the 2019 Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck New York.
